is it possible to control, turn off or on the GPS Expansion LED? I'm trying to save as much battery as possible.
It would be neat if the LED reacted differently based on the lock of the GPS expansion (blink when locked to a satellite, solid when not locked for example).
I didn't even think the Onions were powerable through PoE, very nice! Mind posting a photo of the wired device?
Wow, I wasn't expecting this kind of problem in an IoT device. I can't randomly plug off the device without worrying about bricking it? Have i been lucky? I've been working with some for some months now and didn't brick a single one and I indiscriminately plugged them on and off.

of course nope, that's not the problem! The AP literally disappears and re-appears.
@György-Farkas It turns off, it isn't working as PoE out of the box unfortunatelly
I use PoE at work for all kind of networking.
Usually, I make sure I'm using an appropriate switch (which I have) to feed power to devices, the switch is usually nearby such devices.
I am too noob to understand your last comment but from what I can tell the Omega is not meant to be powered by PoE by default using the stock ethernet expansion.

I guess this is no easy task with the omega2, perhaps impossible?

Recently I used an Omega2+ as a Router following the official, easy and straightforward tutorial in the official docs here https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/omega-router.html
That's all I did.
Routing works as expected and I can connect and browse through the Omega2 AP, except for the fact that the AP keeps connecting and disconnecting.
It sort of "bounces" and I have my PC constantly switching to different APs automatically when it gets disconnected, even if only for a really short period of time. This happens with all devices trying to use the Omega router.
Why's that? Can the Omega2 actually be used as a router in the long term? How to debug this issue? Wtf is happening?

I tried using my Omega2 as a router (I have an ethernet expansion and connected a patch cable to my LAN, serving an AP in a far-away part of the house) and it's actually working very well, except for one thing: is there a way to disable natting and DHCP in the omega2 and actually use my router settings?
Specifically, I want to be able to access devices connecting through my Omega2 AP using my LAN addresses range (192.168.1.x) instead of the default natted 192.168.3.x range.
My definitive goal is to have the same SSID and PASSWORD in all routers Access Points so it looks like single big wifi network instead of separate AC (manually switching when you move around the house is a no-no).

is PoE possible at all using the Omega2 and Ethernet expansions? This is a perfect device to power over PoE when possible and the project needs an ethernet expansion!
I have the same problem: every single time. Even when I power it using the USB from my pc. It's so loud it's not really acceptable. I guess my unit is defective?
@cas From what i understood people use these boards temporary and not for long-term projects. Am i mistaken?

I recently set up an Onion Omega2 as a router and I'd love to monitor the amount of traffic going through the Onion.
I'd love to be able to ssh and read a log, or better, have a web interface showing me network statistics.

I was planning on using the omega2+ as a station to gather sensor data and send it thtough my LAN. Is this a bad idea?
