Dear Onion Community:
I'm completely new to this kind of stuff and could use some recommendations from you to get my project off the ground.
I purchased an Omega 2 and when it arrived I was 'disappointed' that I couldn't do anything with it. I'd assumed ignorantly that I could just start it up and start playing with Linux on it, but evidently I can't even plug it in and so I was in for a big wake-up call on this one.
Anyway, I need your help with helping me pick out the parts/pieces I need. I would like to make a digital display clock as my first project, it can have either one very large display or medium-to-large individual displays that I can put together to make it look like a clock-like screen.
I'm thinking something along the lines of a display 8 inches or so high and it can be as wide as necessary. Can anyone recommend a digital display that I can output the numbers and : symbol that is that size or bigger and what parts I'd need to connect it to my Omega 2?
I appreciate your time and consideration and really look forward to hearing from all of you. I promise I'll expand on it and post photos to those who are interested as I go. Thanks so much and have a great day!
