@fossette you da best, upping the power supply has done the trick thanks mate. Thought the Usb output might have been limited.

Onion Omega as wireless USB hubposted in Projects
Hi all,
Just putting this here in case it is of use to anyone else. I saw this link here for using the RPI as a wireless usb hub and saw that VirtualHere has a MIPS version. Tried it out and it works a treat with the omega, a lot cheaper than any commercial solution I have seen such as the Belkin Home Hub.
