Solved.
Not exactly sure what fixed it, but after trying to connect again it gave me the option to skip, after spiking it connected to the Wi-Fi and downloaded & installed the firmware update. All working now.

I have tested for Ip conflics but it did not seem to be the problem. I am going to download a linux distro and run a firmware update. Will let you know how it goes.
@OnlyOwl I have tried turning off all security on my router as I thought it could be the wpa2 but even without any security it still won't proceed to the cloud stage. Also tried a completely different network (friends) with no luck.
Hey all, finally managed to get my Omega to show wifi (long time problem) I connected to it, went to 192.168.3.1 logged in as root etc. When I got the 'Connect to wifi'I start getting issues. It does seem to connect as after trying I can browse the web, but it says connection error / couldn't setup wi-fi etc and stops me moving onto the next step ( which I assume is setting up the cloud connection) any idea why this might be happening?
So, after being overcharged on my Omega 2 + proof here:
It didn't work. Could someone from Onion please contact me about a replacement and a refund on my overcharge?
Thanks, Owl.

Do make a Factory Restore/Factory Reset.
Onion Omega2 Documentation
- Wait till your Omega boots
The amber LED on your Omega should turn on and then start blinking...It’s possible that your Omega will behave a little differently: if the amber LED on your Omega turns on and remains on, wait for about a minute, and your Omega will have booted.
Most probably it will not blinking because your Omega's firmware is fairly old.
- Connect your PC to the Omega’s WiFi Network
The Omega hosts it’s own WiFi network access point. Lets connect your computer to it. The WiFi network is named the same as your Omega and the default password is 12345678
- The Setup Wizard
Open your favourite browser (Google Chrome is a good choice here and now) and navigate to...
http://192.168.3.1
You have now arrived at the Setup Wizard...I hope so.
Thanks Setup Wizard, but my Omega's wifi never turns on.
Thanks very much everyone for the help. Really appreciate it. I am going to try and send this Omega back + The Power Station as there is clearly something wrong with the hardware somewhere. Surprised it was broken out the box. I hope they will be able to replace it.
I have tried contacting them via onion support (https://onion.freshdesk.com/support/tickets) and via the Indiegogo campaign where I bought it, for a refund. I have had no replies so far. I wonder if I will they will replace my dud Omega.

The only thing you can try is reset. Push the reset button 10 sec. and check if it blinks.
If not, then the best thing to get your omega back to work is to use an expansion dock or mini dock, so that you can use a serial connection.
The Omega 2 plus has wifi built in right? I might try tinkering with the pins to see if I can get it working

@Jackdaw
OP has an Omega2 and a Power Dock.
There is no USB-to-Serial Chip on that Dock.
Oh dear, have I made an idiot of myself? :clap_tone1:
Then every thing's working as it should? Why wouldn't they include something like that on the power dock!
Sorry for being such an idiot Jack, I really appreciated your help
Is this something I need to buy separately or something that 'Should have' come in the package?
Can I connect another way?

..... No I mean execute that on the Omega
Again connect via USB serial connection. Follow steps here for Windows https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/connecting-to-the-omega-terminal.html#connecting-via-serial-windows.
After you have done that. You have a serial connection with the omega. Then execute iwconfig.
Serial connection in Putty looks like this.
I hope you have some basic command line experience.

I am running Linux. I have started downloading all the updates Sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get install screen
@Jackdaw said in New Omega 2 No Wifi Nothing happening...:
How did you make the connection for that command?
Do you think it's software related then?
@Jackdaw Oh Sorry. I ran Iwconfig.
I tried Iwconfig -e
Iwconfig -a
Iwconfig all
Iwconfig omega
Iwconfig omega-xxxx
What is the correct command?
@Jackdaw said in New Omega 2 No Wifi Nothing happening...:
Could you paste the output of
iwconfig
command on the Omega?
Not sure if that's what I was meant to post?
@Jackdaw Wouldn't I need to be able to connect to it first to run that command?
@Jackdaw said in New Omega 2 No Wifi Nothing happening...:
I have the mini dock. Don't know how to reset it on the expansion dock. But have you tried to connect via serial connection?
Yeah, no luck. Says the host isn't valid. I tried connecting to my Omega-xxxx.local and 192.168.1.3 with it. But it's never found. I think there's something going on with the hardware. The Amber light has never blinked. I have the 'Power Dock' No expansions.
Is there meant to be a sound or 'Looking for Drivers' Notification when I plug the Omega in via mini usb? Also, is the Amber light meant to stay Amber? Isn't it meant to blink first?
