Custom Omega 2 Expansion Dock. Need feedback

AMS1117 3.3v output side need at least a 10uF 6.3V capacitor. If possible, leave an empty space near Omega2's power supply input power pins to fit a large eletrolytic cap, say 470uF 6.3V. (size: 8mm diameter, height: 5mm.)

There is insufficient data on MT7688's IO current source and current sink capability.
I'd say the general practice is (when driving a LED), use current sink method.

I am worried if the current size (60mm X 50mm) will put too much pressure on the USB Male A connector . Any idea how much Omega 2 weighs?

The male USB A is not connected to the Omega 2 D+ and D- rather it is connected to the CH340G (the USB to serial converter).
Oops! I missed this.
If I were you I would use that micro USB for the serial console and a female USB A for Omega's USB host port.

@György-Farkas I am having both USB Male A and Micro USB for serial console. User can select any one port through SMD solder jumper. I am trying to make the board more flexible so that the user can use it for multiple purposes. Like,
- Use it as USB to Serial breakout board
- BLE via serial.
- 5v and 3.3v supply.
- Onion breakout of course.
I am still thinking about the omega USB host port. Will update here regularly.

My only recommendation is to not use the HM-11 modules. I used them and found that there is a better alternative that provides more flexibility, though slightly higher priced you can get an FCC certified WSM-BL241-ADA-008 module which is part of the NRF52 series and put an Arduino core in it with a BLE to serial code. Then you can use the Arduino for other things and even use other BLE profiles other than Serial link. The NRF52 core to Arduino has been ported over pretty well other than low power mode which you dont need attached to the Onion because its not battery powered...

hi, looks interesting. I read that there is a new version coming but there was no date on that notice so my question is, do you have a new version coming or is this current board the new version you mentioned? thanks.
