Onion omega has no name

    After updating uboot, it seems that the mac address is not recognized as my omega is named Omega-:
    So nothing works, only eth0 is fine.

    If i get into uboot to change ethaddr, it tells me it can't override it.

    @Gnichi-Mohamed which firmware are you using? It looks like there's a few issues in the kernel messages...



  • @Lazar-Demin I am compiling my own image from the onion LEDE repo.
    I compiled a new Uboot image that allowed me to rewrite the mac address but still the name of my omega doesn't show and there is no wifi interface with ifconfig -a.
    Only ethernet works

    @Gnichi-Mohamed Ah ok, please edit your topic title to make that clear.
    You'll need the hostname-tool package to update your Omega's name based on the MAC address. It's in the Onion package repo.
