Using the Omega as a wireless to ethernet bridge
-
There's a wiki page outlining how to make the Omega into a wifi access point, sharing ethernet wirelessly. Is it possible to do this the other direction, connecting an ethernet device to a wireless network?

Is this not was a router does?

Hi @fader
What you are looking for is a client-bridge. It should be possible to do with the omega. In fact there is a tutorial for this here:
https://wiki.onion.io/Tutorials/Expansions/Using-the-Ethernet-Expansion
This setup should enable you to do what you are looking for. If you want a more advanced setup check this out too:

@fader Have yet to find instructions on how to create wireless bridge, think that is the correct terminology, using existing wifi and omega's wifi. If you should solve this drop me a note.

@Guest Wireless bridge, as in extending the range of an existing WiFi network using the Omega? There's a tutorial for that: https://wiki.onion.io/Tutorials/Using-Omega-As-Wifi-Range-Extender

Reading carefully I believe what @fader was looking for was and correct if I am wrong fader:
