We have upgraded the community system as part of the upgrade a password reset is required for all users before login in.

[Resolved] Restoring after a factory reset.

  • I uploaded a different index.html in Omega2's www directory and had to factory reset. What do you do to access the console after a factory reset? Wifi is functional. An 'Index of /console/' page with a few directories is all that is showing up when connecting to the Omega.

  • i'd suggest using putty or similar to install the console package again

  • @Douglas-Kryder is that with

    opkg update
    opkg install console

  • Connected with the omega through ssh and installed a new console using

    opkg update
    opkg install onion-console-base

    and

    etc/init.d/rpcd restart

  • Thanks @S-M

Hopefully the OP will not mind if I widen the scope of this thread a little.

I saw a post that referenced "safe mode" and "dd". I have used dd previously with Pi's but I haven't been able to find details of the Omega in Safe Mode.

Now we have SD cards working could someone advise the procedure for cloning our Omega's as I hate the way the upgrades work and I'm confident many users will be wasting lots of time restoring work they have already done.
