Omega 2 Plus is always "offline"
-
Just unboxed the Onion2+ today and connected to the power-dock.
I booted just fine, connected via the SSID, set up WiFi, updated Firmware, & Connected to Onion Cloud.
No matter what I try, the status is always Offline.
Here's a screenshot of the Onion GUI and the Cloud GUI showing the same device ID which, I believe, proves that it is connected to the Onion Cloud.

Am I doing something wrong?
THNX!

@Doug-Vann Someone else here on the forums mentioned something similar and it seems the problem is buggy firmware. (I don't use Onion Cloud, so I don't personally have any knowledge either way.) Probably best to just wait a few days and see if the devs release a new firmware.
-
Just chiming in to say that I am seeing the same exact thing and so far nothing I have done has changed that. Hopefully like the other person said that it is simply buggy firmware that will be fixed soon. If anything changes I will post it here as well.
-
I can confirm you are not alone. The Omega2+ will not and can not connect to the onion cloud at the moment.
Hopefully there will be a fix shortly?

@Doug-Vann I have the same issue. Just got my Omega 2 Plus and it is never online. Repo Firmware Version: 0.1.6 b137
A bit useless, considering that's what I bought it for.
-
Incidentally, there was no option in Onion Console, Settings->Cloud Settings to enter the "one-time setup code". I tried entering it via SSH - got no error message but it is still offline. I don't know if the method has changed, or whether the (missing) option to enter the setup code is the cause of the problem.

Add another one to this list exhibiting the same problem.
I have confirmed internet connectivity through the terminal, and requesting a new device ID results in a connection error, but changes the device id and it appears in my device manager.
-
I have exactly the same problem like @Sean-Harrington on regular Omega2
-
Same problem on Omega2+, the device is created but gives an error while doing it, then it always appears offline in the cloud. I hope you can fix it soon

The error is here. https://community.onion.io/topic/1144/can-t-register-device-on-cloud/6
We will have to wait until developers wants to fix this.
