Losing Data after power off
-
After powering off my Omega2+ I'm losing installed pkg and created files. Do you know if this is a expected behaviour?

@Camilo-Giraldo How do you power off? Brutal, or wait for
sync
to run? Could you be more specific on the lost data? Although I haven't tested it, I wouldn't expect data in the/tmp
directory to survive. However, installed packages are supposed to survive powerdown-powerup cycles. The 7-seconds reset would indeed flush the installed packages (Factory reset command). Is this what you are doing?

Package installation writes to flash right away. They should persist even if you just pull the plug on your Omega2. Another possible cause I can think of is you tried to install the packages before your omega2 has fully initialized. Try making sure the orange led stopped flashing after boot.

@Zheng-Han , this would help so much if such a Question could be answered in a actual FAQ. If the Users not read we could at least mention it in our troubleshooting.
So please release a FAQ where we can help to keep up to date !!

@Luciano-S. Is it you that told me to add the info to GitHub on a doc request that I once made? Well, what you preach applies to you as well.

Perhaps that the return to the COMMAND LINE should be delayed to prevent the problem from occurring.

Hi everyone,
I have the same problem. I have upgraded my Omega2+ to 0.1.10 b160 but i'm losing pkg and data after power off (or reboot).
I would like to prove thesync
command but i can't find it.I suppose that my omega2+ has fully initialized because the orange led is blinking all the time and I use the console after 2 minutes after boot.
