@Karan-Magdani this ssems to be a common problem unfortunatley. I also broke one.
You can still switch it with something sharp as a needle or a knife.
I left mine in the state on and power off and on by connecting and disconnecting from the power supply.

Thanks for your reply. the problem is its very hard to see and i'm scared i'll break it. do i have to switch it to the left or the right?

The same thing happened to me today. Now I don't feel so clumsy. I guess I'll try a needle. A paper clip is too big. In case a needle doesn't work, can it powered through the 5V/GND pins even if the switch is off?

@Karan-Magdani Broken switches seem to be a common problem. Mine broke on my Mini Dock - managed to get it on using a needle - though i wasn't sure which way to try to move it and it took a bit of poking to get it on.
There is an alternative (if you don't mind having it effectively permanently on) and that is to make a solder bridge between two of the pins on the switch - a photo of this can be found in the following post: https://community.onion.io/topic/76/shipping-status/12

@Kit-Bishop Thanks man. i will look into this and get it soldered. Just to be sure, i have to solder the on and off pins right? where the switch broke?
-
@Karan-Magdani I'd go by this image:
I didn't need to solder since I managed to turn mine on using a needle.
-
@Kit-Bishop i think this isn't the mini dock. i soldered the switch pins but it didn't work.
-
@Karan-Magdani This is the mini dock. We just removed the cover the switch with a plier in this picture. Can I see a picture of what you have soldered? Maybe we can help you identify the problem.
-
@Karan-Magdani Ok - sorry I don't have a standard expansion dock, I only have a Mini Dock. Perhaps one of the Omega people could post of picture of where to solder on an expansion dock
-
@Kit-Bishop Ok. I will post a picture tomorrow morning when i get to the office.

i went to an electronics repair shop. he told me that the switch is already shot. the current is flowing in the dock midway and then it stops.
Thank you for your time

So that's where he did the soldering. and said that the connection is shot there, but it doesn't pass somewhere ahead.
