Is there any way we can get the Kicad footprint of these modules? I'm developing a new commercial line using the Omega2S+ and the footprints would greatly speed up development. thx :]

we currently only have eagle footprint maybe you can convert it yourself?

@Janus-Sanders I made a KiCad footprint for the Omega2S myself, it‘s available in my public KiCad library, among other parts.
The footprint is of the „manually solderable“ variety (pads reaching out from under the part a bit more than what would be necessary for industrial SMT soldering) - because I use it for prototyping.
The manufacturer who produces my Omega2S based device used it as a starting point for his footprint (But I have no data for that, it‘s in a commercial format anyway, probably Altium)

does the Omega2S+ have the same 32MB SPI flash chip than the good, old Omega2+?

@György-Farkas yes, Omega2S+ has the same spec as Omega2+ in terms of CPU, RAM and Flash

According to @Larry-Pinney's photo Omega2+ has a Winbond 25Q256FV flash.
Does Omega2S+ also have a Winbond 25Q256FV or some fully equivalent flash chip?@Zheng-Han said in Newly minted Omega2S:

Because if yes, that would mean it has the same 3B / 4B address mode issue than the Omega2+ has and its HW Reset is broken too.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
