GPIO Pin Function Change - Omega Onion 2 Pro

Hello,
I am trying to change pin functions using "omega2-ctrl gpiomux set uart1 gpio" command. However, the pin functions revert back to its original factory settings. Is there a command in terminal or python to make this pin function change permanent or start on boot?

@Antony The most common way people achieve this is by adding the command to /etc/rc.local so it is executed at boot time.
