Minium connections for Omega2S+
-
I am trying to use the Omega2S+ with just USB and power connected.
As soon as I got the board I just connected the 3.3v and Ground to my Power supply and I get nothing from the product. I was expecting the wifi to fire up and allow me to connect to it. But there is no life in the board at all.
In the documentation the only instructions for using without the dev-board relate to the Omega2 with the pin header, but the pin layout is all different on the Surface mount and there is nothing to tell me what is the minium. Can you help me get this going with a few connections as possible.
All I want to have is the USB connected and wifi.
Thanks for any help. I have not had any reply from emails or ticket system

@simonmaltby Here is the doc showing how to power Omega2 with no dock.

Omega2S pinouts are here:

Yes I know about all that, but the pin's are different and it does not work just connecting ground and 3.3v
so there is either more needed or I have a bad board. There is no specific details like this https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/hardware-prep-no-dock.html for the 2s
For example, there are 2 x 3.3v on the OM2S and only one on the OM2
I need the same as this https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/hardware-prep-no-dock.html but for the surface mount.

@simonmaltby The design guide has specific details of the required pins:

Also for WiFi you'll need either a U.FL antenna or wire up ceramic antenna.

Thank you, I had not seen this part. I had missed 3.3v to VIN Flash
