Cloud compile broken again
-
...can someone help?
-
seams to be a week-end sickness ...

I'm not yet an Omega(2) owner, but this seems to occur often... I do not know all the available tools yet, but local control is a must. Anything 'cloud' should only be considered a bonus, definitely not mandatory.

It isn't. Its just a convenience. You can definitely compile on your machine. Its just easier on the cloud.
I personally use python. Fast enough for my needs, and much easier to deal with.

@Samuel-Mathieson Can you provide some details how how I cross-compile locally (avoiding the cloud compile)? I've gone through the cross compile wiki successfully a couple of times now can build an image, but I still don't see how that helps me compile, say, a simple Hello world on my Mac and then copy the binary to my Omega.
Thanks in advance.

@Mitch-Christensen While I can't help with Mac - I don't have one! I have successfully done this from my Windows machine. It needs setting up a Kubuntu VM to run the tool chains.
I have previously posted the basic information at • https://community.onion.io/topic/9/how-to-install-gcc/22 - this may be of some assistance to you.
Additionally, further details can be found in the various documentation files available under https://github.com/KitBishop/Omega-GPIO-I2C-Arduino - in particular see the fairly general information in https://github.com/KitBishop/Omega-GPIO-I2C-Arduino/blob/master/iotemplate/iotemplate.pdf

I just got my Omega2+ yesterday. The Cloud Compile feature seems to still be broken? My job is stuck in the queued state. Can it be possible that this has been broken continuously for the last 5 months?
