@Yuval-Reina Actually, there is one more package to install, and it will work. At least it worked on my Omega2+ at the latest firmware.

OK, so let me preface this with the following statement. "I am not a programmer or hacker or maker."

I bought the Omega2+ on Kickstarter on a whim of "well, that's pretty cool. I wonder if I can make my own wifi garage door opener that will use IFTTT to open the door when I get to my driveway?" And then, $125+ and months later, I get my 2 Omega2+'s, power dock, expansion dock, oled expansion, gps expansion and relay expansion. It was a bit of a struggle getting the first one working - I had to reset it twice back to factory - but now I have on device sitting as a webcam looking out my back window and the other is a carry around to just mess with.

I have been able to get a couple projects going, from showing the GPS info on the OLED to getting the Weather for the current GPS location onto the OLED and one that grabs sun/moon info - also showing it on the OLED. My tinker device has been reset more times than I can count now - usually to me doing some dumb install or changing the wrong file or doing something in the wrong order and being unable to back out the changes.

However, I now have my tinker device set up how I want; Samba Server, FTP Access, Python, 16GB SD Card as the ROOTFS and 1GB Swap file (available at boot!) and the GPS and OLED pretty much stay with it all the time. I picked up an innexpensive 8" Windows 10 tablet I use to interface with it via PuTTY, WinSCP and Samba. Hell, I even changed up the banner and customized that.

I have some more ideas of stuff I want to do with this, and one of them requires another chip and minidock, but alas that will have to wait.

All in all, with the help from this forum, I have been able to get everything I have wanted working, so far. Look forward to more projects and seeing the community grow and more projects from others open up so we can learn more. I hope those who've had issues get them cleared up quickly.

So i have my two omega 2+ devices working on the onion cloud. However, I don't seem to be able to get the cloud.onion.io to load on any browser on my iOS device (iPad Air 2, latest iOS). I have tried forcing the Desktop version on Safari, Firefox and Chrome.

Is there no way to access this on a mobile device?

I would put in a trouble ticket and get the GPS units replaced. Mine will connect inside my house and give back readings that match the GPS on my phone (+/- 3m).

@Michael-Klug I hope you get it. I was going nuts getting the GPS to show on the OLED.

Well, $25 for the Omega2+ or $75 Intel. And, there is not the same money behind Omega as there is behind Intel.

I like my Omega's. I have 2, and they both have developed their own personality. At least they are easy to reset to factory.

I got one working again, but I had to take it back a firmware revision. I used the Serial connection with my EXP dock and was able to see everything.

It rebooted, was back to factory. I was able to get into the console and all the apps and such were there. I then went to Settings and set them all up with what I had in the beginning. I did have to register with the Onion Cloud again, but I have one Omega2+ set up again.

Time to try the other one.

Actually, it is the combination of the EXP having USB>Serial and the Power having the ability to charge and run off battery at the expense of the USB>Serial.

May be shooting in the dark, but put the "do" back on the "for" line (line 8).

At what point do you stop banging your head against a wall and wipe up the blood from your forehead.

It is not a secret that the web-based console rarely works right. There are plenty of threads complaining about it. The command line always works. That includes for setting the name, wifi info, AP info, and so on.

Now, if you want to go into the web source and fix it, then by all means do so, and share the results. If all you wanted was to change the password, why the hell are you bitching when a solution is given to do exactly what you wanted?

Cant speak for the indigogo, but for the kickstarter, it was given to anyone who spent more than $70. I have one as well at home.

damnit, you just had to go link this... now I had to buy one.

Or even a raspberry pi zero. I have seen a number of projects to create usb stick computers (youtube is where I first saw them). I grabbed one over the weekend to mess around with. Keep in mind, the raspberry pi zero does NOT come with any kind of built in networking (ethernet or wifi) and getting a dongle to work is messy.

Short answer, remove the entries in /Users/callumstewart/.ssh/known_hosts:1 (or remove all entries, start over.)

I had a case I found on Thingverse (link will be below) from someone on here, I believe, and the thing is great, though a couple of the measurements are a tad off, as in a millimeter here or there. And I have a feeling it was the printer, but there is not much tension holding the top and bottom of the case together well, there is some movement. HOWEVER! It is freaking awesome!

I'm still trying to figure out how to make commits back to git though.

This is the one that finally got it working for me. It was left out of the image, and not mentioned (a month ago) in the documentation. However, the git and git-http are both required as well, but easier to assume.

So, has there been any movement on getting the expled to actually work? I can use the gpioctl but those are on/off, cannot control the amount of color to come through. All that comes back is "Segmentation Fault".
