@Lazar-Demin I am trying to use the ethernet web recovery option. I do not understand the instructions in the documentation. I am confused about the sequence of plugging the ethernet cable into my PC and then creating the IPV4 point. I note that the cable should not be plugged into the Omega 2+LTE initially, but if this is the case then how do i Create a new local access point for the device? Please excuse the ignorance as I am not well versed with configuring the LAN details.

This is my boot sequence which seems to indicate that the device found and initialized the eth adaptor??

@Lazar-Demin I had a read through the cloning info... I have a question regarding the use of USB devices on the Omega 2+ LTE. The device has one USB port which is used mainly for power or serial connectivity with a PC etc. How can I attach a USB drive to the Omega?

On a side note... Why does the Omega2+ lte only have 32MB of storage? The only option left is to somehow configure the system to utilize the MicroSD for installation of programs etc. ️

Thanks @crispyoz . I wasn't aware of micro python. Once my ethernet expansion arrives and i can unbrick the device I will install it.. I assume it is available as a package?

I installed python and then attempted ro install paho-mqtt and ran out of space. The device only has 38MB all up so it is unusable for an app that i am writing for the device. This is why i need more storage/memory etc.

Thanks again. What I need is to be able to install packages without running out of space and then to execute everything with no issues. Is the swapfile method the way to proceed? Thanks again in advance!

I am finding that the internal 38MB is insufficient for my requirements and I would like to understand how to install/mount a microSD card to use for my installed programs so that i don't blow my storage.

Ok. I will buy an eth expansion board and go from there.. I know that this is probably a new thread but is it possible to take an image of the device once I have installed and created my application? So this would include my python installation, MQTT libraries, compiled program etc. So everything on the Omega2+ LTE.

The idea is to be able to quickly flash new units with a 'working' image and not have to go through all the intermediary steps.

Hi @crispyoz. Yes, I read the article in detail.

I Have the device powered on using the USB port so I don't think that the USB device option will work.

I don't have an Ethernet connection expansion board etc.

I pressed the reset button for more than 10 seconds
I turned the poer switch off, then held the reset button and turned the power switch on... holding the reset button for a while untill i could see the reset cycle begin

@Lazar-Demin Hi Lazar. Thank you for your reply. I am very new to using the Omega 2+ LTE and have, over the past few weeks, been experiencing various issues so maybe if I could explain a bit....

I would like to use the device for an MQTT project.
I have installed Python to the device, then, trying to install paho-mqtt, the device ran out of space. I tried, in vein, to configure the device to use a microSD card but got myself into even more strife!

Now, if I try to use opkg I get errors about some libuclient.so file not found etc.

I am using firmware omega2lte-v0.3.4-b257.bin.

I think I probably need to re-flash it but, even after pressing the reset button on the device it is just sitting there with the small yellow led rapidly flashing and nothing appearing in my PUTTY window. ( I have a serial connection to the device)

Hope you can steer me in the right direction PLEASE
