Firmware compiling

hi,
I just want to build my own firmware and there is no news about the wifi drivers causing kernel panic.
( mac80211 drivers disconnect from wifi often, this is not a solution ).When will this issue be resolved ?

@Stephane-Foloppe about a couple of months ago one of the onion admins stated that onion was going to build a whole new wifi driver. i think he stated that it would be ready around sept. 1st. i don't think it has been finished since i'd guess they would have released a new firmware build by now. anyway, that's what i've read about wifi recently.

@Stephane-Foloppe i'm not sure if you know that for the most part this is a user to user community forum. some admins from onion post every once in awhile but they have not had a large presence. but there are some really knowledgeable people [i'm not one] who will help you out best that they can. but yes, i think many of us agree that it's a disappointment.

6 months later.
Wifi drivers is not working on self compiling.
Lot of bug on SPI.The worst thing ?
Not any news, no answers, no ETA.
But new product are available......

I also wanted to build my own firmware, but this seem not to work, atleast if you want a working wifi connection.
What i did is made my own openWrt package. The only problem you got, is you can't remove anything from the build just add it.
