@cas I figured this out for myself - sorry I should have just re read all instructions again in the first place. I changed the lines: "# define the toolchain and target names TOOLCHAIN_NAME="toolchain-mipsel_24kc_gcc-5.4.0_musl-1.1.16" TARGET_NAME="target-mipsel_24kc_musl-1.1.16" in xCompile.sh to : "# define the toolchain and target names TOOLCHAIN_NAME="toolchain-mipsel_24kc_gcc-7.3.0_musl" TARGET_NAME="target-mipsel_24kc_musl" and the example C gipoRead compiled fine and runs on my board.

Logitech QuickCam Sphere AF works using mjpg_streamer and the webcam app on the latest firmware. Plugged an old one I had and worked out of the box but only when connected directly to the Omega (didn't work when trying it on a non-powered USB hub). Now on to look into controlling pan and tilt.

I have yet to flash it and test it out, but I figured this being in here sooner rather than later would be good. The next step, should npm be working, would be to get the nodejs opencv packages for opencv3.0 working, and then tying them into a web camera stream, right?
