Poweroff command doesn't shutdown Omega2+ restarts instead
-
When i use the poweroff or the power-down command, the Omega won't shutdown. It keeps restarting. Does someone have a solution for this? I think it worked when i first used it.

seams to be fixt ..

@Luciano-S that threads seems to be about reboot not poweroff / power-down.
With Ω-ware: 0.1.9 b149 it looks like this should work:
power-down -f
On my Omega it comes back with:
Shutting down... See you later!
But it never shuts down!

ok ... i do have omega1
omega-v0.1.4-b330
and here works2It is really strange, that the onion team made the firmware from omega1 and omega2 continuously .. even if it is with different hardware ...
@administrators do we have to throw away the omega1, no more updates?!

@Luciano-S. Good question.
I have multiple Omega1 and Omega2 and want to keep using both.
There has not been a lot of clarity or distinction made between the two and what resources, instructions and software apply to each
Particularly confusing for those who have only come to the Omega recently with the Omega2 and don't realise that while there is similarity between the two there is also a high degree if difference particularly in terms of CPU.The Omega2 is not
just
a bigger and better beast than the Omega1 - it is also different

Lets see if we get an answer from the @administrators

Same result with power-off -f command

The hardware simply does not have any poweroff capability, nor would any system based on a router chipset be likely to unless additional parts were added specifically for that purpose.
What would be possible at some point is a halt - there are ways in which the flash access mode reset bug on the 2+ can sort of resemble one.
