Omega 2+: can't use SSH, setup wizard, serial, or factory reset
-
Okay I'm really stuck. I can power on the Omega and see the wifi network and connect to it, but when I connect to it, I can't access the setup wizard or SSH in, and the Silicon Labs CP2102 driver isn't working for some reason (macOS Sierra issue?). Additionally, I don't think the reset button on the expansion dock is working -- nothing happens with the LEDs, even when I hold it down for 30 seconds.
Any ideas? Seems like I'm locked out.

Open up your web browser and navigate to 192.168.3.1 . Hope this helps you!

Also try changing USB cable or USB supply as some simply are so bad that they do not deliver enough for the O2+ to work (I speak out of experience)

@zach-Van @Francesco-Pessolano tried going to 192.168.3.1 with two different USB cables...no luck (same problem as before). Any other ideas?

I also have that problem, the usb cable is ok, the driver is ok, I have a nodemcu that uses the very same serial chip and works fine.
The omega does not display a COM port when I connect it.
Is it possible that some omega's won't work with that?
I'm about to use an external serial programmer.@Jacob-Bendicksen said in Omega 2+: can't use SSH, setup wizard, serial, or factory reset:

Omega2 put in socket backwards?
I say this because I have done it and there is no keying other than the silkscreen images of the beveled corners to go by. Luckily I did not provide power and caught it before doing so but I have placed mine in the headers incorrectly.

@Richard-Berg it worked before (got into setup wizard, so it's not in backwards), but then I changed some stuff in the wifi settings and broke the wifi (I think), which is why I'm trying to factory reset.

@Jacob-Bendicksen Seems that you have multiple problems ... try to solve -
- the Omega setup Console page issue - try another browser or another
computer - Connecting via the Expansion dock's USB cable to a serial Console - try another computer to confirm that this hardware and cable connection is working then fix the CP2102 driver issue on your Mac.
