Settings are gone after upgrade
-
hey, just upgraded to last ver.
everything is gone:
all soft wiped
my folders wiped
no settings
please advice....
-
@Alexei-Kos Yeah, when upgrading everything outside of
/etc
and/root
will be gone, see https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/updating-the-omega.html#how-do-i-know-if-i-need-to-update-my-omega-1Also, if you're coming from firmware
v0.1.10 b160
, the wifi driver has been updated, so your wifi settings will be reset as well. This was mentioned in the An Important Note section in the announcement we put out yesterday.
-
@Lazar-Demin as for files, ok, didnt read the post. Can live with it.
Wifi reset i saw and worked with it.
You just didnt answered main question - settings are gone.
I can work with console, but less like it.
Info, wifi settinf, wifi ap setting and others from previous version all gone. Not mentioning about other apps from previos ver (servo...)Thanks for your answer ))
-
@Alexei-Kos oh you mean the Settings app in the old Console? You can install the Legacy Console and still use that until a similar app is ported to OnionOS
Installing the Legacy Console can be through the OnionOS App Manager, ree the Legacy Console section in the announcement
-
@Lazar-Demin almost)
i get the old panel, but no apps there. no settings nothing.
advice?
-
@Alexei-Kos
Try typing these commands:
opkg update
opkg install console-base
-
@Alexei-Kos If you've just installed the Console, you'll need to run
/etc/init.d/rpcd restart
or restart your Omega for the Apps to show up.This allows
rpcd
to register the newonion-console
ubus service that the browser Console relies on to interact with the Omega

@Lazar-Demin thanks it worked!
