Omega2 Documentation

Hi,
I want to use Omega2 in a home project and i want to make a custom PCB for it.
Can I have access to "Technical Drawings" for omega2/omega2plus and the board final pinout?
-
I don't know about technical drawings, but the pinout is published as part of the onion2 indiegogo campaign.
It's not necessarily final, there's a note below it saying "The pinout for the Omega2 is subject to change without prior notice." - however I guess Onion would not have published it, if they weren't pretty decided about that pinout already.Personally, I would be happy if that pinout wasn't final in one tiny detail - I think GPIO14 would be much more useful than GPIO11. Having GPIO14 (MT7688 pin MDI_TP_P1) would allow using a second ethernet port, or SPI slave mode - while GPIO11 offers no interesting functions at all (REF_CLKO can also be output on GPIO6, and PERST_N is useless without the other PCIe pins anyway).

Thanks for the reply Lukas. I will believe that is the final pinout!
Maybe I also have to assume that Omega2 has the exactly same size and pin pitch as the original Omega!?

Tried to buy a Onion Omega 2 but will not let me check out. Very disappointed, is it closed now?

@chris-B As per https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/onion/omega2-5-iot-computer-with-wi-fi-powered-by-linux/posts/1662972 the Kickstarter was completed on 24 August and while it does appear that the

button doesn't lead to anything useful the timeline at the end of https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/omega2-5-linux-computer-with-wi-fi-made-for-iot/x/14953315#/ indicates that shipping won't be till some time mid to end November

Hi @Luis-Mendes
The Technical Drawings and final pinout of the Omega2 will be available when the Omega2 starts shipping.
Until then, details of the board are subject to change.Expect the Omega2 to be a very similar size as the original Omega.
@Lukas-Zeller We'll get back to you about GPIO14

Great, I'm looking forward to it! Two ethernet ports would be really terrific!
-
With that feature (two ethernet ports), I would make a nice firewall/ssh/vpn unit. I was looking for other HW for that, but it would definitely be awesome with the Omega2. Thanks for the open-mind considering this idea.
My vote: +1

And then the two Ethernet ports on one Module direct over the USB Ports with a hole over the mounting hole of the Dock to keep it stable. :clap_tone3:

Any new information on a technical drawing so we can create custom mother boards for the omega 2?

@Bjarke-Freund-Hansen I've found https://github.com/OnionIoT/Onion-Docs/tree/master/Omega2/Documentation to be quite useful.
