Ok, thanks! Seems as if you are correct! I am now using the following 3 gpio's: 2, 3, 18. Seems to be the combination that works for me. Would be nice if we could get some sort of definitive doc that might let us know whats up. Would also be nice if the docs were consistent. This (https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/expansion-dock.html) shows one thing, but the GPIO app on the onion console does not even have 11 there at all! Why? Thanks for the info!

@Samuel-Mathieson i have thought of using a home asssitant as a sort of security device that would sense movement/sound and as response trigger a tear gas or pepper spray along with playing a pre-recorded message from any of several locations based on the location of the intruder. the HA playing the part of a presumed occupant would be able to react dynamically to the movements of the intruder. plus, it would notify me and i could join in remotely and interact with the intruder in some pre-defined way. otherwise a HA play no part in my daily life. i've never been interested in having a recording device in my home 24/7 to talk to and ask questions, etc. but, i'd be interested in reading what you have come up with.

Thanks, My system is completely autonomous. I use python sockets to do this. However, I would like to add my openwrt router to the onion cloud and not relay messages to it. Think this is possible?

@Samuel-Mathieson Sorry for the late reply. I didn't see your post before now. If you still wonder about this, here is some hints. The easiest way is to use a solid state relay or a transistor to PWM control the light. DC LEDS (without any electronics) is the easiest. For regular AC, you might want to use a current or voltage limiter instead. This can be done with a MOSFET, a capacitor and a few resistors. There are many (other) solutions. Right before I was about to press send, I did a quick search for PWM AC dimmer, which gave me results such as: http://www.instructables.com/id/safe-and-simple-AC-PWM-Dimmer-for-arduino-Raspberr/ I hope this helps.

@Lazar-Demin I am cross compiling on my own. I need to cross compile libweave for the onion. I did not, honestly, think of using the cloud app. Would this be possible?

If it is possible and does not affect the operation of the circuit, place a delay in the opening of the circuit allowing the inductive loads to subside then opening the contacts under non inductive load.
