  @WereCatf @Orrin-Woodard Oh, sorry, my mistake. I accidentally gave a link to the Omega2-image, not the Omega2+-image. It's here http://repo.onion.io/omega2/images/omega2p-v0.1.6-b137.bin and the instructions should be: cd /tmp sysupgrade -n omega2-v0.1.6-b137.bin you forgot to put the p in cd /tmp sysupgrade -n omega2p-v0.1.6-b137.bin but i figured it out

  Please take pictures of your hardware and post it here ... as better the resolution as more we can see the details. There where some of the Omegas2 not starting because of a shortage from soldering. Important also is that the Omega sits nice in the Socket of the dock (if you use one). More info's how the procedure is to get defective Hardware changed, you can see in the guidelines ... see top of page the link.

  @Mikael-Djurfeldt console are mostly just commands they include in server side scripts ... so what in the console (web) not works mostly is buggy in the shell to. I guess I was reading in a other post that the onioneers are informed.

  Wow...you've been waiting a month? Speedy service huh? Try the Web Upgrade or the USB upgrade. Using the serial console... Hold the Reset button down and use the switch to power it on. Please select option: [ Enter ]: Boot Omega2. [ 0 ]: Start Web recovery mode. [ 1 ]: Start command line mode. [ 2 ]: Flash firmware from USB storage. http://repo.onion.io/omega2/images/omega2p-v0.1.7-b140.bin USB Upgrade Rename the downloaded firmware to omega2.bin Place that file on a USB Stick with a formatted with a Micro$oft file system...EXFAT (the de facto standard) should be OK. However NTFS will not work for this application. Then use Option 2 ...

I was mostly curious because when using the Console and cli to check my firmware version, both said I was on the latest version (at the time I posted) but there were newer versions on the repo. I updated one of my units to 0.1.7 b140 today (no problems at all) and when running the Console it still sees b139 as the latest version. Both currently see b139 as the latest version, I guess I'm ahead of the curve! Sounds good, I'll let them both be for the time being. I've got new SSIDs and complex passwords for both of my units. Perfect; I've got a dual-500mA usb wall adapter I'll repurpose for my units. Thanks for the reply!

  @WereCatf @Kit-Bishop Seems that Microsoft has implemented mDNS/dns-sd in Windows 10, see this stack overflow answer (and the link to MSDN). So making a tool to browse for Omega2 should now be as simple as it has been for years on macOS (Bonjour) and Linux (Avahi). I agree though that installing the clunkiest app existing in macOS (iTunes) on Windows, just to get mDNS, is not worth the trouble
