  Small note here, MIPI CSI-2 can also use more [than two] lanes (it's basically the same interface, and I believe uses I2C to control/setup the sensor). This is offered with newer 22-pin connector based camera sensors for other solutions - I may need to dig into their schematics + source a bit to understand which pins on their chips they use, but there is an assumption here that they have the support for the interface built in.

  @altr I'm not sure about OpenWrt 21, but check out this wiki about how to control the LED via a trigger. http://onioniot.github.io/wiki/Tutorials/Blinking-Morse-Code-on-LED.html I know it works as it is one of the earlier things I tried when learning about the Omega2.

  Why don't you just read the (pseudo) file? No need to open new processes. Using w = int(open('/sys/class/leds/omega2lte:blue:wifi/brightness').read()) Will give you what you need from python in a pythonic way.

  @BeekyB My first suggestion is to ensure you have your Omega2 powered up. Or you could provide more details of what problem you are experiencing so perhaps members of the community may have some ideas of how to solve whatever issue you are experiencing.

  @MarshalllGG Yes you can compile on say Linux but you have to run the app on your Omega2. Sometimes if I am developing an app I might do the skeleton of the work on my Linux system and test it on Linux without all the Omega2 specific stuff. Once I have that all correct I then start adding the Omega2 specific stuff and then need to test it on the Omega2.

  Hello and thank you for your reply, So yes I have the dock but don't want to use the USB micro socket to power the onion. What I want to do is design a board that mounts on the 30 pin expansion socket to give me access to other things like 12c, SPI ect. but also want to have a 24VDC to 5 VDC supply on this board and want to feed the 5VDC into the expansion socket if this is possible?

  @sks14 I would suggest trying a factory reset and going through the setup process again. I don't have a maker kit so this is my best suggestion.

  Same question to remove WiFi came in from our customer support department. We know we can disable the WiFi from software, but the customer has the specific security requirement that there should be no physical WiFi possible. I'm sorry to hear that removing the 0 Ohm resistor and the ceramic antenna isn't enough to disable the WiFi. Are there other hardware changes we can make to permanently disable (break) the WiFi on the Omega2+?

  Hi @crispyoz , I didn't need to modify the package, because I misunderstood the error at the beginning. Now I solved the problem after long hours. I managed to program using swd mode, it was actually available but the error message was misleading for me. Thanks a lot though

  @Altronics Onion products are community supported, if you think you can make improvements to the documentation you can initiate a pull request and submit your proposed changes, in my own experience Onion are very receptive to improvements. I'm not sure which support link you are referring to, could you be more specific so the Onion team is able to address any broken links. Here in Oz you can order Onion products through Core Electronics who are based in Newcastle (NSW), I also order through Mouser who ship out of Singapore, or Digikey who ship out of the Colorado.   @timj First check you are running the latest firmware version. Use the oupgrade command to check or you can flash the latest images in the repo: http://repo.onioniot.com/omega2/images/ I wonder if there is a handshaking issue, do you know if the device uses hardware/software handshaking? You can use the stty package to configure the tty. (opkg install coreutils-stty) then use the stty -a command to view the command syntax.

  @Waqas Glad to hear you solved the issue. Regarding the LTE firmware, if you install the build system then you select the LTE configuration and then you can see which packages are selected in the standard LTE build. https://docs.onion.io/omega2-docs/cross-compiling.html The article I linked relies on some packages you need to install so I think you may be able to just update the standard LTE build to suit your requirements.

  I'm successfully using an SPI wrapper I wrote several years ago for exactly the same kind of accesses (e.g. for MCP23S17). The routine to perform a read-then-write (or optionally, write-and-write-again) does quite the same as your sample code (see SPIBus::spidev_write_read() at lines 205ff in p44utils/spi.cpp. I didn't spot a functional difference to your code, so I'd assume your code should work (I know mine does, its in active use in many projects) Maybe there's a difference in how you open the spiFd? You can see that part in SPIBus::accessBus() at line 384ff. I'm using this code with both the MT7688 hardware SPI (which has a known hardware bug for full duplex, but that should not apply here, your read data starts after the write is over), and also with spi-gpio-custom software SPI. Hope this helps!

We need to understand whether your issue is a hardware issue or a software issue, so please respond to these questions: When you insert the sd card that does not function, do the logs indicate the card was inserted? (use logread command to view logs) If YES to question 1, please post the portion of the log Post the content of /etc/config/fstab Post the output of the command: mount
